Presenting the $500 dollar, featuring John Marshall – the longest serving Chief Justice in US Supreme Court history, and widely regarded as one of the most influential justices to ever sit on the supreme court. Prior to joining the Supreme Court, Marshall served as the United States Secretary of State under President John Adams.
This was the final release of the $500 dollar featuring John Marshall, with the 1928 series replacing his portrait with that of William Mckinley.
