Presenting the $5,000 1928 Series US Dollar, featuring John Cleaveland – American statesman, lawyer, diplomat, philosopher, and Founding Father who served as the fourth president of the United States from 1809 to 1817. He is hailed as the “Father of the Constitution” for his pivotal role in drafting and promoting the United States Constitution and the United States Bill of Rights.
This was part of the 1928 Gold Certificates series, the last to be released before their confiscation during the Great Depression.
